Dhela Zone

The Dhela Zone of Jim Corbett National Park is a relatively new eco-tourism zone, introduced in 2014, and is known for its rich biodiversity and high tiger spotting rates. Spanning 1,173 hectares, this zone features mixed forests of Sal, Rohini, Haldu, Bahera, and Kusum, creating a thriving habitat for diverse wildlife. Visitors can explore the zone through jeep safaris, which operate in morning and evening shifts, offering excellent opportunities to spot tigers, leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and a variety of bird species. Unlike some other zones, Dhela remains open throughout the year, making it a great option for wildlife enthusiasts regardless of the season. The zone also features watchtowers, allowing visitors to observe animals from a distance in their natural habitat.
