An unexpected Government decision suspended safari activity in Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary after a tiger attack. At the same time, two of our three international groups to Kabini were scheduled to begin within the next 20 days. The third group, with a later start date, was notified in advance and their itinerary was adjusted before departure. Once informed, guests understandably worried about losing money, annual leave, and perhaps their only chance to experience this wildlife journey.

Team Alkof immediately discussed the situation with the guests and, after their approval, redesigned equivalent wildlife journeys across Tadoba, Pench, and Gir National Park. Guests did not have to restart planning from the beginning, and additional disruption was kept to a minimum. Most importantly, nobody returned home without the wildlife experience they travelled to India for.

Jeffrey (France) was due to arrive in India on 28 February 2026 for his Kerala journey — the same day the Middle East conflict escalated and disrupted flights out of Abu Dhabi. His travel was delayed by four days, and during this period the UAE authorities provided accommodation and support for affected travellers. On the fourth day, he finally boarded his flight to India. We adjusted the journey around his revised arrival date, kept changes to a minimum, and worked to ensure the experience remained as close as possible to the original plan.

Finally, when Jeffrey arrived at Cochin International Airport on the fourth day, our representative was there to warmly welcome him. Jeffrey arrived smiling and happily asked for a photo. Sometimes travellers do not remember the booking process. They remember how they were treated when plans became uncertain.
