Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

Namaste, Welcome to India! On arrival at the New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Old and New Delhi

Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Day 3: New Delhi - Agra (220 kms/4 hrs drive)

Day 4: Agra - National Chambal Sanctuary (100 kms/2 hrs drive)

Early in the morning, before sunrise, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel for a guided tour of the Taj Mahal and Mehtab Bagh. Witness the beauty of the Taj Mahal in the serene morning light, followed by a visit to Mehtab Bagh for a panoramic view of the monument from across the Yamuna River. Return to the hotel for a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, embark on a journey to the National Chambal Sanctuary, renowned for its biodiversity. This sanctuary is home to critically endangered species like the gharial and the red-crowned roof turtle, as well as the endangered Ganges river dolphin. It is also a vital bird area, hosting at least 320 species of resident and migratory birds. Upon arrival, check-in at the resort and freshen up. Then, head out to the sanctuary for a boat safari on the Chambal River. Day 5: Chambal Sanctuary - Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (130 kms/3 hrs drive)

In the early morning, embark on a serene boat cruise along the Chambal River, where you can observe the Gharial, Mugger crocodile, various turtle species, otters, and the elusive freshwater Dolphin. Return to the resort for a hearty breakfast. Following breakfast, journey to the historic Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a former royal game reserve renowned globally for its avian diversity. Check-in at the resort upon arrival, then enjoy a leisurely rickshaw safari through the sanctuary, encountering over 230 species of resident birds, more than 100 migratory bird species, as well as diverse reptiles, including snakes and lizards, and other fascinating amphibians. Day 6: At Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Day 7: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary - New Delhi (210 kms/4 hrs drive)

In the early morning, embark on another enriching rickshaw safari through the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary to maximize our chances of encountering diverse bird species. Return to the resort for a satisfying breakfast. Following breakfast, our representative will arrange for your transfer to your hotel in Delhi, where you will spend the night.

Day 8: New Delhi - Jim Corbett National Park (270 kms/6 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a drive to Jim Corbett National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and take some time to settle in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the natural surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort in Jim Corbett National Park.

Day 9: Explore Jim Corbett National Park (2 jeep safaris)

Spend the day exploring the wonders of Jim Corbett National Park with two thrilling jeep safaris in Dhela, Bijrani, or Jhirna Zones, depending on availability. Each zone offers unique landscapes and incredible wildlife sightings. Dhela is a dry area known for better chances of spotting the majestic Bengal Tiger, while Bijrani is lush and green, providing a mix of tiger sightings, scenic beauty, and diverse wildlife. Dhikala is one of the most scenic and wildlife-rich areas, offering breathtaking landscapes and excellent chances of spotting the Bengal Tiger, along with other fascinating wildlife such as Asiatic Elephants, Hog Deer, Sambar Deer, Sloth Bears, Otters, and many more. Bird lovers can admire species like the Great Pied Hornbill, Pallas's Fish Eagle, Tawny Fish Owl, and Indian Pitta, while reptile enthusiasts might spot the Gharial, Mugger Crocodile, King Cobra, and more.

Safari access to specific zones is subject to availability. To secure your preferred safari bookings in your desired zones, we recommend booking your tours at least 90 days in advance. To book your safari, we require a clear photo of the traveler's passport, as mandated by the forest department.
