Palitana is a small town located in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is known for its Jain temples and its significance as a pilgrimage destination for Jains.

The main attraction in Palitana is the Shatrunjaya Hill, which is home to more than 863 Jain temples, making it one of the largest collections of Jain temples in the world. These temples are known for their intricate carvings, beautiful architecture and rich cultural heritage. Some of the main temples include the Chaumukha Temple, which is considered the most important temple on the hill and the Parshvanath Temple, which is the oldest temple in Palitana.

Tourists can also visit nearby towns such as Bhavnagar and Ahmedabad, which are known for their historic buildings, traditional markets and cultural heritage.

Palitana can be reached by road, rail or air. The nearest airport is Bhavnagar Airport, which is well connected to major cities in India. Palitana railway station is well connected with major cities of Gujarat by train.

Climate is tropical, with temperatures ranging from 30-40 degree Celsius during summer months, best time to visit Palitana is from October to March, where it is pleasant and cool. Monsoon season between June to September, the climate is hot and humid, so it's not the ideal time to visit.
