The fort is about 50 feet high and is considered an ancient architectural marvel. The nineteen bastions of the fort still stand today, showing their glorious past with pride. Just a boat ride away from the sandy shore, the splendid fort terrace not only offers a glimpse into the past but also offers a splendid view of the Arabian Sea all around.

Vikram Vinayak Temple at Salao, about 20 kms from Alibaug. Built by the Birla Group as part of its Vikram Steel Plant Complex Which is popularly called 'Birla Mandir'. The huge dome made of white granite is visible from afar. Situated on a small hill, you can walk on well-paved steps to reach the temple. The temple's surroundings are composed of a well-planned garden and colorful fountains.
