Day-to-Day ITINERARY
Morning around 10 Am, Alkof Holidays representative will pick-up you from the hotel and proceed for a half day guided tour of Old Delhi, where you’ll enjoy a cup of spicy chai before taking to the city streets. Sample flavorful street food, comb through electric markets, wander through Hindu temples and visit key historical sites on this Old Delhi Half Day Tour. Visit Chandni Chowk, one of the biggest Saari markets in India, our guide will brief you about the traditional wedding items and the meaning of marigold chains in these bustling bazaars and then navigate back alleys as you explore this multi-colour part of the Delhi.
Enjoy lunch at the famous Paratha Wali Gali, where stuffed fried bread and creamy curd are paired with spicy homemade pickles. Watch as local chefs prepare this mid-day feast and fresh ingredients make their way from smoking pans to Tawas (hotplates). Your guide will also take you Red Fort and to other sites associated with the 1857 Mutiny - India’s First War of Independence - and share stories about the old and more recent struggle for independence. Come away with a deeper understanding of Hinduism after stops at several temples.
Finally, end your trip with a bit of exploration on your own, later we will transfer you to your hotel in Delhi.

Many of our travelers join because they are traveling solo. So yes it is absolutely safe to travel solo on this tour. As a solo traveler, you have to pay single supplement charges. Please let us know at time of booking.
Our tour cost includes personal assistance during arrival and departure, all transfers, sightseeing and excursions by private air-conditioned car/van/coach depending on a number of persons with as per itinerary, English speaking local guide, all applicable taxes and dedicated manager with 24x7 support. We can also include lunch and dinner, domestic flights, and other services on request at an additional cost.
Alkof Holidays is committed to making travel widely accessible, regardless of ability or disability. We ask that you carefully consider whether you are physically and mentally able to complete the itinerary. In this particular trip you should have a moderate physical fitness as this is a walking tour.
One must possess a passport which is valid for minimum 6 months from the date of entry into India. Many countries have been included in the list of countries whose citizens are provided E-Visa facility provided they apply 72 hours in advance. Other nationals need to obtain Indian visa in advance to enter India.
Yes. It is advisable that you buy a comprehensive medical/travel insurance in advance from your country before traveling to India.
You will be greeted by our representative at the airport on your arrival. He shall be holding a company placard with your name written on it for your identification. We shall also provide you list of emergency 24 hours contact numbers for any emergency.

PAYMENT TERMS
If you are interested in booking any of our brochure tours, you may simply send us an email giving us your details. We normally need an advance amount once we confirm the arrangements for the tour. The amount depends on the services you may require for the tour. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash. We need balance payment before arrival or as per below schedule.
- 30 days or more before the date of departure: 25% of the total cost
- 29 - 20 days before the date of departure: 50% of the total cost
- 19 - 16 days before the date of departure: 100% of the total cost
Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received 16 days prior to departure date and received amount will be fully forfeited.
CANCELLATION
If you cancel your holiday:
You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges per person applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below:
- Between 30 - 45 days before the date of departure: 25% of the total cost
- Between 17 - 29 days before the date of departure: 50% of the total cost
- Up-to 16 days before the date of departure: 100% of the total cost
If we change or cancel your holiday:
We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements.
