Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra 2019 (By Helicopter)

Stay - Kharsali

Upon arrival at Dehradun airport early in the morning, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to Sahastradhara helipad, the helicopter departs from Sahastradhara helipad around 7'o clock in the morning to Kharsali. Upon arrival at Kharsali helipad around 07:45 AM, ground staff will take your baggage to the hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel, later visit Yamunotri - the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism, it is situated at an altitude of 3,293 meters (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas. Your trek to Yamunotri starts from Jankichatti/Phoolchatti (6 km), you can reach Yamunotri by taking a Pony. On arrival at Yamunotri, takes a bath in Jamunabai Kund's in near Yamuna temple and you can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of Surya Kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Later, visit Divya Shila - a rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple. After that visit the Sacred "Yamunotri Temple". Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Stay - Harsil

Early in the morning, proceed to Kharsali Helipad, around 7.45 AM Helicopter Departs from Kharsali to Harsil. Upon arrival at Harshil around 8:30 Am, ground staff take your luggage to hotel. After freshnup proceed to Gangotri temple, which is 24 kms from the helipad and it takes about 45 minutes by road one way. Upon arrival at Gangotri, visit Gangotri Temple, Kedar Ganga Sangam (where Kedar Ganga meets River Bhagirathi), and also take the darshan of Submerged Shivling - visible in winters only when water level decreases. Later drive back to Harsil for night stay.

Stay - Kedarnath

Early in the morning, depart from Harsil helipad by 9.00 AM. Due to government regulation, you have to change chopper at Phata helipad to continue to Kedarnath. Deboard and aboard the new helicopter awaiting for your further journey. Upon arrival at Kedarnath helipad around 10.00 AM, you will be escorted to the Kedarnathji Temple for darshan. The temple lies at a distance of approximately 500m from the helipad and reaching it would take about 15 minutes. After Darshan of Kedarnathji Temple, visit Triyuginarayan temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kedarnath Ji, as a Rudra Abhishek has been scheduled at the Kedarnath temple at 4 AM next morning.

Stay - Badrinath

Early in the morning around 4.00 AM attend the Special Rudra Abhishek at the Kedarnath temple, after that proceed to Kedarnath helipad to board the helicopter for Phata helipad. On arrival at Phata helipad, board the new helicopter around 10:15 AM to Badrinath helipad. Upon arrival at Badrinath helipad around 11:00 AM, you will be escorted to the Badrinath temple. The holy temple of Lord Vishnu, known as Lord Badri is one of the divine 108 Divya Desams. After Badrinath Ji darshan, move on for a visit to the Mana village, close to Badrinath temple, the last village before Indo-China border, inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe. Overnight stay at the hotel in Badrinath Ji, as a Rudra Abhishek Darshan has been scheduled at the Badrinath temple around 4 AM next morning.

Early in the morning around 4.30 AM attend the Special Abhishek Puja at Badrinath temple, a major highlight of the yatra. The Puja lasts for around 2 hours. After attending the Special Abhishek Puja at Badrinath temple, proceed for Badrinath helipad to board the helicopter for Sahastradhara helipad, Dehradun. Upon arrival at Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun, Alkof representative will transfer you to Dehradun airport to board the flight to your home or onward destination.
