After check-in, spend the day exploring Visakhapatnam’s major attractions. Visit the Submarine Museum (Kursura) and Aircraft Museum on RK Beach Road, followed by a peaceful walk at Ramakrishna Beach. Later, head to the Kailasagiri Hill Park for panoramic city and coastline views, accessible by road or ropeway. In the evening, enjoy leisure time at the beach. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Visakhapatnam.
Please Note: Submarine and Aircraft Museums remain closed on Mondays.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion in a private car. First, drive to Annavaram (approx. 3 hours), home to the sacred Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple, an important pilgrimage site in Andhra Pradesh. After darshan, continue to Bojjannakonda and Lingalakonda near Sankaram, ancient Buddhist rock-cut caves and stupas dating back to the 3rd century BCE. Stroll through the peaceful archaeological site, admire the carvings, and learn about the Buddhist heritage of the region. Return to Visakhapatnam in the evening for an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, transfer to Visakhapatnam Railway Station to board the Kirandul Passenger Train (subject to availability), one of India’s most scenic rail routes. The journey winds through the Eastern Ghats, passing lush valleys, tunnels, and towering viaducts. On arrival at Araku Valley, meet your driver and proceed to Borra Caves, renowned for their massive stalactites and stalagmites illuminated in various colors. Continue to Katiki Waterfalls (requires a short trek from the road, subject to weather conditions). Later, visit the Tribal Museum to explore the culture and lifestyle of local tribes, and take a stroll through the Padmapuram Gardens. Evening free to enjoy the cool mountain air. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Araku Valley.
Please note: Tribal Museum remains closed on Mondays.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the return journey to Visakhapatnam by private car. En route, stop at coffee plantations to taste locally grown coffee and purchase souvenirs. Depending on your departure schedule, you may enjoy some last-minute shopping or beachside relaxation in Visakhapatnam. Later, you will be dropped at Visakhapatnam Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
