Itinerary
On arrival at the New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Early this morning, depart for Agra, renowned for its stunning Mughal architecture. Upon arrival visit the iconic Taj Mahal and Mehtab Bagh. Later visit the historical Agra fort, and the exquisite Itmad-ud-Daulah. Later in the evening, leave for Delhi for overnight stay.
After breakfast, our driver will transfer you to New Delhi Airport for your flight to Kochi (Cochin). Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, our local driver will receive you and transfer you to your hotel in Kochi. Rest and relax at the hotel, later start you Kochi sightseeing from the Jew Street, where you can visit the Jewish Synagogue (open from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Jewish holidays). Next, explore St. Francis Church, India’s first European church, where Vasco da Gama was originally buried. Continue to Dutch Palace in Mattancherry (open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, closed on Fridays), showcasing Kerala’s regal history and artistic murals. Spend some free time strolling through Jew Street, a lively area with shops selling handicrafts, antiques, and ethnic garments. Later, visit Fort Kochi and witness the famous Chinese fishing nets, a fascinating sight that highlights Cochin’s maritime heritage. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, leave for Munnar, the picturesque hill station of Kerala. Enjoy the stunning waterfalls and scenic landscapes along the way. Upon reaching Munnar, check in at your hotel and unwind for a relaxing overnight stay.
In the morning, depart for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Begin with a visit to Mattupetty Dam and Lake, a scenic spot surrounded by lush greenery. Continue to Echo Point, where the natural echo phenomenon adds to the charm. Explore Gundala Lake, known for its serene beauty, followed by Photo Point, a picturesque location perfect for capturing memorable moments. Visit the Elephant Arrival Spot, a unique place where elephants are often seen, and Cinema Shooting Point, a popular site for film shoots. In the evening, enjoy a Spice and Tea Trail, discovering the rich flavors and aroma of Munnar’s plantations. After a fulfilling day, return to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Munnar.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Thekkady. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, where you can witness wildlife in their natural habitat from the water. Additionally, an optional elephant ride offers a unique way to explore the scenic surroundings. During your visit to the Periyar Tiger Reserve, enjoy the mesmerizing views of the evergreen forests and keep an eye out for wildlife, including elephants, sambar deer, Indian bison, and the elusive tigers. If time permits, visit Kumily, a charming town 10 kilometers away. Here, immerse yourself in the fragrant world of spices at a local plantation. Overnight stay at the resort in Thekkady.
After breakfast in the morning, proceed to Alleppey, a serene backwater destination known for its picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, board your houseboat and settle in for a relaxing cruise through the tranquil waterways. As you glide past lush greenery and charming villages, soak in the breathtaking views of Kerala’s backwaters. By 13:30 hrs, the houseboat will pause for a delicious lunch on board, allowing you to savor local flavors while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. At 14:30 hrs, the journey resumes, covering a vast expanse of serene backwaters, offering an experience that feels like a dream. Enjoy tea and snacks onboard as the scenery continues to unfold around you. By 18:00 hrs, the houseboat will anchor, providing a unique and unforgettable overnight stay amidst the stillness of the backwaters.
After breakfast on the houseboat, our driver will transfer you to Cochin Airport to board a flight back to home or onward journey.
