Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. After breakfast, our driver will transfer you to New Delhi Airport for your flight to Kochi (Cochin). Upon arrival at Cochin Airport, our local driver will receive you and transfer you to your hotel in Kochi. Rest and relax at the hotel, later start you Kochi sightseeing from the Jew Street, where you can visit the Jewish Synagogue (open from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Jewish holidays). Next, explore St. Francis Church, India’s first European church, where Vasco da Gama was originally buried. Continue to Dutch Palace in Mattancherry (open from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, closed on Fridays), showcasing Kerala’s regal history and artistic murals. After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Thekkady. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, where you can witness wildlife in their natural habitat from the water. Upon arrival, board your houseboat and settle in for a relaxing cruise through the tranquil waterways. By 13:30 hrs, the houseboat will pause for a delicious lunch on board, allowing you to savor local flavors while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
