Day 1: Arrival at New Delhi

On arrival at the New Delhi airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city's bustling streets or wander its wide tree-lined boulevards to get your first taste of India. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Exploring Old & New Delhi

Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Explore Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: New Delhi - Aurangabad (By Flight)

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will take you to New Delhi Airport for your flight to Aurangabad. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, with time to relax and explore at your own pace. Overnight accommodation will be provided at the hotel.

Day 4: At Aurangabad (visit Ajanta Caves)

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided tour of the Ajanta Caves (note: the caves are closed on Mondays). A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ajanta Caves feature 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves dating from the 2nd century BCE to around 480 CE. These ancient caves are renowned for their stunning paintings and sculptures, considered masterpieces of Buddhist art. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, and return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Aurangabad (visit Ellora Caves) - Mumbai (By Flight)

After breakfast, set out for a guided tour of the Ellora Caves, a remarkable complex of 34 rock-cut shrines showcasing Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain art from the 4th to the 9th century AD. Among these, the Kailasa Temple stands out as an extraordinary architectural and engineering feat, designed to resemble Lord Shiva's celestial residence. Next, visit the historic Daulatabad Fort, originally built by the Yadavas as a strategic southern military base. In the evening, catch a flight from Aurangabad to Mumbai. Day 6: At Mumbai

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a guided tour of Mumbai, famously known as "The City That Never Sleeps." Begin your exploration with a visit to the iconic Gateway of India for photos and sightseeing. Next, head to the Prince of Wales Museum, which houses fascinating artifacts from the Indus Valley Civilization. Continue your tour with a visit to Mani Bhavan, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Other highlights include Marine Drive, the Hanging Gardens, and Juhu Chowpatty Beach. Day 7: Mumbai - Jabalpur (By Flight) - Kanha (160 kms / 3.30 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to Mumbai Airport for your flight to Jabalpur. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative and driven to Kanha National Park, renowned as one of Asia's best-preserved wildlife sanctuaries. Inspired Rudyard Kipling’s "The Jungle Book," this expansive park covers 940 square kilometers and is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including Indian wild dogs, Royal Bengal tigers, sloth bears, leopards, and barasingha. Check in at your resort upon arrival and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Enjoy activities such as a stroll in the picturesque surroundings, soaking in the lush greenery, or engaging with the park's naturalists. Overnight at the resort.

Day 8: Exploring Kanha National Park

Embark on exhilarating morning and afternoon jeep safaris to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of Kanha National Park. As you traverse the park, marvel at its diverse flora, including over 1,000 species of flowering plants. Kanha is renowned for its rich wildlife, and during your safaris, you may encounter majestic creatures like Royal Bengal Tigers, leopards, mouse deer, jackals, foxes, sambar deer, peafowl, Indian gaur (Asiatic bison), wild dogs (dholes), wild boars, blue bulls, spotted deer, and the four-horned antelope. Keep an eye out for smaller creatures such as mongooses, as well as an incredible variety of bird species and reptiles. Look for pythons, spurfowl, ring doves, kingfishers, finches, woodpeckers, flycatchers, pintails, pond herons, rock pigeons, papihaas, cuckoos, parakeets, and green pigeons. Day 9: Kanha - Bandhavgarh National Park (215 kms / 5 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the resort, depart for Bandhavgarh National Park, renowned for its rich history as the Maharajas of Rewa's hunting grounds and its impressive tiger population. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Enjoy activities such as exploring the scenic surroundings, soaking in the verdant landscape, or engaging with the park's naturalists. Return to the resort for a restful overnight stay.

Day 10: Exploring Bandhavgarh National Park

Begin your day with an early morning jeep safari in Bandhavgarh National Park, where the tranquil wilderness offers an opportunity to spot the elusive Bengal tiger, leopards, sloth bears, and an array of bird species. After the safari, return to the resort to enjoy a hearty breakfast and relax. Later, in the afternoon, set out on a second thrilling jeep safari to further explore the park's diverse flora and fauna, capturing the magic of the jungle as the sun begins to set. During the safari, visit the historic Bandhavgarh Fort, situated on a hill approximately 811 meters above sea level. Believed to be around 2,000 years old, the fort features 39 caves and offers a fascinating glimpse into the region's history. End the day with a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 11: At Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve

Experience the thrill of early morning and afternoon jeep safaris in Bandhavgarh National Park, where you can engage in bird watching and track majestic tigers. The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including over 150 bird species and a significant tiger population. Between safaris, you have the freedom to relax or explore the beautiful surroundings at your own pace. Conclude your adventurous day with a restful overnight stay at the resort.

Day 12: Bandhavgarh - Khajuraho (230 kms/5.30 hrs drive)

Early in the morning, set off for Khajuraho. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, begin your sightseeing tour with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Western Group of Temples. These exquisitely carved stone temples are renowned for their intricate sculptures, including images from the Kama Sutra. With 22 temples spread over 20 square kilometers, the site offers a spectacular view. Among them, the Kandariya Mahadev Temple stands out as the most popular and magnificent structure, showcasing exceptional artistic and sculptural work. Next, explore the Eastern Group of Temples. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Khajuraho - Orchha (175 kms/4.30 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Orchha. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and then set out to explore this historic town, once the capital of the powerful Bundela Rajput kings. Begin your tour with a visit to the impressive Jehangir Mahal, followed by the Raj Mahal, Phool Bagh, Dinman Hardaul's Palace, and Sunder Mahal. Don't miss the well-preserved temples of Orchha, especially the Ram Raja Temple and the Chaturbhuj Temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 14: Orchha - Jhansi (20 kms/30 mints drive) - Agra (By Train)

In the morning, our representative will escort you to Jhansi railway station to catch an express train to Agra (JHS 07:35 AM - AGC 10:10 AM, a 2 hour 35 minute journey). Upon arrival at Agra railway station, a local representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in and relaxing, explore Itmad-ud-Daulah and Agra Fort. In the evening, enjoy some free time to shop for handicrafts and souvenirs in Agra’s vibrant markets. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 15: Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (240 kms/5 hrs drive)

Early morning before sunrise our tour guide will pick you from your hotel and take you for a guided tour of the Taj Mahal and Mehtab Bagh. Later return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Jaipur. On the way visit Fatehpur Sikri - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Akbar in the late 16th century. After sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri, proceed to Jaipur for an overnight stay.

Day 16: Exploring Jaipur

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a comprehensive guided tour of Jaipur. Begin your exploration with Rajasthan's iconic attraction, the "Amber Fort and Palace," a UNESCO World Heritage Site constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1592 using red sandstone and marble. This majestic fort complex is perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of Maota Lake and the surrounding landscapes. Explore its extensive palace sections and intricate architecture, which blend seamlessly with the natural terrain. Following your visit to Amber Fort, continue your Jaipur sightseeing with a visit to Jal Mahal, the serene Water Palace situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake.

Day 18: Departure from New Delhi

In the morning, we will transfer you to IGI Airport, New Delhi for your journey home or onward journey.

Safari access to specific zones is subject to availability. To secure your preferred safari bookings in your desired zones, we recommend booking your tours at least 90 days in advance. To book your safari, we require a clear photo of the traveler's passport, as mandated by the forest department.
Once safaris are confirmed, the safari fees are non-refundable.
