The Golden Triangle covering Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur is best visited between October and March when daytime temperatures across all three cities stay between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. December and January can bring morning fog that occasionally delays Taj Mahal sunrise visits. April to June sees temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in Delhi and Agra, making outdoor sightseeing through the middle of the day impractical. July to September brings the monsoon with high humidity and regular rainfall across all three cities. Most Golden Triangle itineraries run between 6 and 8 days.
The Golden Triangle is a travel circuit connecting Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, three cities that together represent the most concentrated collection of Mughal and Rajput heritage in India. Delhi sightseeing covers Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar as the primary sites. Agra is home to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, both built during the Mughal period. Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, is known for the Amber Fort, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal. The circuit is popular because it covers a significant breadth of Indian history, architecture, and culture within a compact and well-connected geography.
Yes. Sunrise is the most rewarding time to visit the Taj Mahal as the light is soft, temperatures are cooler, and visitor numbers are significantly lower than midday. The Taj Mahal opens at sunrise and the first entry slot is the most sought after. Alkof Holidays builds sunrise visits into every Agra itinerary by positioning accommodation close to the East Gate for the earliest possible entry. Visitors traveling in December and January should note that heavy morning fog frequently obscures the Taj Mahal at sunrise during these months. Your tour manager will advise the best visiting time based on your travel dates.
The Golden Triangle is one of the most practical introductions to India for first-time visitors. Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur are well connected, have established tourism infrastructure, and between them cover Mughal architecture, Rajput heritage, street food culture, and bazaars. The circuit is compact enough to cover in a week without long travel days.
Yes. Alkof Holidays accepts all major international credit and debit cards. In India, cards are widely accepted at hotels and restaurants in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Carrying some Indian Rupee cash is advisable for local markets, rickshaws, and smaller establishments.
Your dedicated tour manager is reachable by phone and WhatsApp throughout your trip. Your private driver and local guide are with you on the ground at each destination for immediate support, backed by our Delhi team for quick assistance.
Yes. All airport transfers are included at every destination on this tour. A driver will meet you at the arrival gate and transfer you directly to your hotel. Departure pickups follow the same arrangement.
