Day 1: Arrival in Rajkot - Junagadh (110 kms/3.30 hrs drive)

Upon arrival at Rajkot Airport, our local representative will warmly welcome you and drive you comfortably to Junagadh. On arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 2: Junagadh - Gir National Park (60 kms/1.30 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, set out on a guided exploration of Junagadh and Girnar Hill. Begin at the imposing Uparkot Fort, an ancient citadel featuring grand gateways, centuries-old stepwells, and sweeping views of the cityscape. Continue to the exquisite Mahabat Maqbara, an architectural masterpiece blending Indo-Islamic styles, famed for its ornate domes and spiral staircases. Then, journey into Junagadh’s spiritual past with a visit to the Buddhist Caves, carved in the 2nd century CE and steeped in tranquility.

Next, ascend the sacred Girnar Hill aboard the ropeway, gliding above forested slopes and rocky outcrops to reach the upper shrines. Pay homage at the revered Ambaji Temple, and if you wish, walk further to visit the serene Jain temples, poised high in the clouds. The experience is both spiritually uplifting and visually unforgettable. By late afternoon, descend and depart for Gir National Park, India’s last refuge of the majestic Asiatic lion. Day 3: Morning and Afternoon Safaris at Gir National Park

Experience the thrill of both morning and evening game drives at Gir National Park, the only natural habitat of the majestic Asiatic lions. This celebrated sanctuary is a treasure trove of biodiversity, where dry deciduous forests shelter over 500 lions and 300 elusive Indian leopards, making it a true haven for the big cat family.

Beyond the big cats, Gir teems with wildlife—jackals, hyenas, Indian foxes, sambar deer, and the rare Chowsingha (four-horned antelope), found nowhere else in the world. Frequent sightings also include chinkara, nilgai, wild boar, chital, mongoose, honey badger, desert cats, rusty-spotted cats, porcupines, and hares.

The park supports a thriving population of marsh crocodiles, along with more than 40 species of reptiles and amphibians. For bird enthusiasts, Gir offers a visual feast, with over 250 avian species gracing its skies and woodlands. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 4: Gir National Park - Somnath (40 kms/1 hrs drive)

After enjoying the wilderness of Gir, embark on a short and scenic drive to Somnath—one of India’s most sacred and historically revered pilgrimage destinations. En route, soak in the rustic charm of Saurashtra’s landscapes. Upon arrival in Somnath, visit the iconic Somnath Temple, believed to be the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later, you may explore the serene seaside, witness the evening aarti ceremony, and immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance of this coastal gem. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Somnath.

Day 5: Somnath - Dwarka (250 kms/5 hrs drive)

Bid farewell to the serene shores of Somnath and set off on a scenic journey to the sacred city of Dwarka, one of the revered Char Dham pilgrimage sites in India. As you drive along the coastal and countryside landscapes of Gujarat, enjoy glimpses of rural life and vibrant local culture. Upon reaching Dwarka, visit the legendary Dwarkadhish Temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, a spiritual and architectural marvel. Day 6: Dwarka - Rajkot (240 kms/5 hrs drive)

Safari access to specific zones is subject to availability. To secure your preferred safari bookings, we recommend booking your tours at least 90 days in advance. To book your safari, we require a clear photo of the traveler's passport, as mandated by the forest department.
Once safaris are confirmed, the safari fees are non-refundable. Please carry your original valid passport or ID proof to present at the entry gate for safaris.
Gir National Park is closed for safaris every Wednesday.

Cancellation
