Once the summer retreat of the British government in South India, Munnar is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and tranquil charm. Begin the day with visits to Mattuppetty Dam, Kundale Lake, and Echo Point, where you can immerse yourself in the serenity of nature. In the afternoon, head to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park), home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr, a unique mountain goat species found in this region. Take in the beauty of rolling tea plantations and lush green hills before concluding the day with an overnight stay in Munnar, surrounded by its peaceful ambiance.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Thekkady, known for its lush green landscapes and the famous Periyar National Park. On arrival, check in at your resort and relax for a while. Later in the afternoon, visit the spice plantations in Kumily, where you can see and learn about a variety of aromatic spices. After the visit, return to your resort in Thekkady for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, offering a chance to spot wildlife like elephants, deer, and bison along the shores. After breakfast, drive to Alleppey, famous for its beautiful backwaters. Around 12:00 PM, board your houseboat and begin a peaceful cruise through canals, lagoons, and villages. After breakfast on the houseboat, travel to Kovalam. Enjoy a scenic drive to this beautiful beach destination. On arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax after your journey. Later in the day, you may visit Kovalam Beach to enjoy a peaceful walk along the shore and witness a beautiful sunset. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Kovalam.
After breakfast at the hotel, set out to explore the highlights of Kovalam and Trivandrum. Begin with a visit to the famous Kovalam Beach, including Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach, and Samudra Beach, where you can enjoy the coastal views and relaxed atmosphere. Later, proceed to Trivandrum to visit key attractions such as the Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Palace, and the sacred Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple (from outside).
