Day 1: Arrival in Rajkot - Junagadh (110 kms/2.30 hrs drive)

On arrival at Rajkot Airport, our Alkof Holidays representative will welcome you and transfer you to Junagadh. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Junagadh.

Day 2: Junagadh / Girnar - Gir National Park (120 kms/3.30 hrs drive)

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the imposing Uparkot Fort, an ancient citadel featuring grand gateways, centuries-old stepwells, and sweeping views of the cityscape. Continue to the exquisite Mahabat Maqbara, an architectural masterpiece blending Indo-Islamic styles, famed for its ornate domes and spiral staircases. Next, visit the Buddhist Caves, carved in the 2nd century CE and imbued with a sense of tranquility. Afterwards, ascend the sacred Girnar Hill aboard the ropeway, gliding above forested slopes and rocky outcrops to reach the upper shrines. Pay homage at the revered Ambaji Temple, and if you wish, walk further to visit the serene Jain temples perched high among the clouds. The experience is both spiritually uplifting and visually unforgettable. By late afternoon, continue your drive to Gir National Park. Upon arrival, check in at the resort for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Exploring Gir National Park

Experience the thrill of both morning and evening game drives at Gir National Park, the only home to the majestic Asiatic lions. This renowned protected area boasts an impressive range of exotic flora and fauna, with its dry and deciduous forests sheltering over 500 lions and 300 leopards. Gir is a haven for the cat family, including the native Indian leopard. In addition to these big cats, you can spot jackals, hyenas, Indian foxes, and sambar deer. The park is uniquely home to the Chowsingha, or four-horned antelope, the only place in the world where this rare species resides. Other inhabitants include chinkara, wild boar, nilgai, chital, mongoose, honey badger, desert cats, rusty-spotted cats, porcupines, and hares. Gir also supports a significant population of marsh crocodiles, among the 40 species of reptiles and amphibians recorded here. Bird watchers will delight in Gir's rich avian diversity, with over 250 bird species. This biodiversity hotspot attracts wildlife enthusiasts year-round. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort in Gir National Park.

Day 4: Sasan Gir - Diu (70 kms/2 hrs drive)

After breakfast, leave for Diu. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Later, set out to explore the charming coastal town of Diu, beginning with a visit to the majestic Diu Fort, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Continue to the historic St. Paul’s Church, admired for its exquisite Baroque architecture, and then stroll through the serene Naida Caves, known for their unique rock formations and play of natural light. Relax at Nagoa Beach, where golden sands and calm waters create the perfect setting to unwind. Overnight stay at the hotel in Diu.

Day 5: Diu - Gondal - Rajkot (230 kms/5.30 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive back to Rajkot. En route, stop in Gondal to visit the Naulakha Palace, Orchard Palace, and the impressive vintage car collection. Continue to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a beautifully crafted spiritual landmark. Later, drive to Rajkot and check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure from Rajkot

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Watson Museum, followed by the Mahatma Gandhi Museum, Gandhi’s preserved childhood home. Continue to the Rotary Dolls Museum, known for its fascinating global doll collection. After sightseeing, our driver will transfer you to Rajkot Airport to board your evening flight home or to your onward destination.

If rooms are not available at the mentioned hotels, we will provide alternate hotels of a similar category. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability.
Safari access to specific zones is subject to availability. To secure your preferred safari bookings in your desired zones, we recommend booking your tours at least 90 days in advance. To book your safari, we require a clear photo of the traveler's passport, as mandated by the forest department.
Once safaris are confirmed, the safari fees are non-refundable. Please carry your original valid passport or ID proof to present at the entry gate for safaris.
Safaris in Gir National Park are closed every Wednesday. The Park also remains closed during the monsoon season, from the last week of June till September 30 every year. Plan accordingly!

Transportation is provided according to the itinerary only and is not available on a disposal or point-to-point basis.

Payment Terms

A deposit of 25% is required to confirm this tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 90 days prior tour starting date. For any bookings within 90 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.

Cancellation
