After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient ruins and rich history. Enjoy a scenic journey through the countryside of Karnataka. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax after the long drive. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Hampi
After breakfast, begin exploring the magnificent ruins of Hampi, once the grand capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Start with the iconic Vittala Temple, famous for its stone chariot and musical pillars. Continue to the Royal Enclosure to visit the impressive Mahanavami Dibba, the beautifully engineered Stepped Tank, and the Hazara Rama Temple, renowned for its detailed Ramayana carvings. Later, explore the elegant Lotus Mahal and the massive Elephant Stables. Continue towards the Krishna Temple area for a photo stop at the historic Pushkarni near Krishna Bazaar before exploring the ancient temple clusters around Hemakuta Hill. Walk through the historic Hampi Bazaar, once a thriving marketplace during the Vijayanagara era, and enjoy views around the Sri Kotilinga Temple area. After sightseeing, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay in Hampi.
Today focuses on Hampi’s quieter corners and panoramic viewpoints. Visit the magnificent Achyutaraya Temple and walk along the historic Courtesan’s Street. Later, explore Queen’s Bath and ascend Matanga Hill for sweeping panoramic views of Hampi’s ruins and river landscape. If time permits, visit Anegundi, including Huchhappayya Mantapa and Anegundi Fort, followed by a short coracle ride across the river (subject to river conditions). Return to your hotel for overnight stay in Hampi.
After breakfast, leave Hampi and drive towards Badami. On the way, stop at Itagi, known for the Mahadeva Temple, one of the finest examples of Chalukyan architecture. Continue to Lakkundi, a historic town famous for its ancient temples and stepwells, including the Brahma Jinalaya and Kashi Vishwanatha Temple. After sightseeing, continue your drive to Badami. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel in Badami.
After breakfast at the hotel, start sightseeing in Badami by visiting the famous Badami Cave Temples, carved into red sandstone hills and overlooking Agastya Lake. Then visit the beautiful Bhutanatha Temples located beside the lake. Later, drive to Aihole, known as the birthplace of Indian temple architecture, and visit the Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, and Ravana Phadi Cave Temple. Continue to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore important temples such as the Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, and Papanatha Temple. After sightseeing, return to Badami for an overnight stay.
