The best time to visit Karnataka is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and ideal for exploring the state's diverse attractions. During these cooler months, you can comfortably visit the historic palaces of Mysore, the ancient ruins of Hampi, and the scenic landscapes of Coorg. The temperature is moderate, making it perfect for wildlife safaris in Bandipur and Nagarhole, as well as enjoying the coastal regions like Gokarna and Mangalore. Additionally, this period coincides with several cultural festivals, offering a deeper insight into Karnataka's rich heritage.

The Brihadeshwara Temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, is one of the most mysterious temples in the region. Built in the 11th century by Rajaraja Chola I, this UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its towering vimana topped with an 80-tonne granite block, the lifting of which remains a mystery. The temple's architectural precision ensures its central tower's shadow never falls on the ground at noon. Adding to its intrigue is the belief that any leader entering through the main gate will lose their power or face death, a superstition that many still respect.

The best time to visit the backwaters of Alleppey is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and ideal for a houseboat cruise. During these months, the climate is comfortable and the backwaters are calm, making it perfect for a relaxing and scenic experience.
