Know Before Your Go
What You Will See on This Tour

In Agra, explore the magnificent Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites that showcase the grandeur and architectural brilliance of the Mughal Empire.
In Ranthambore National Park, the main attraction is the Bengal tiger, and the park is considered one of the best places in India for daytime tiger sightings. Alongside tigers, the park is home to leopards, sloth bears, striped hyenas, marsh crocodiles, spotted deer, and more than 300 species of birds. The ancient Ranthambore Fort, located within the national park, and the scattered historic ruins throughout the reserve add a unique historical dimension to the safari that few other tiger reserves in India can offer.
In Jaipur, discover the magnificent Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar, providing a fascinating insight into Rajasthan's royal heritage, architecture, and astronomical achievements.
Best Time to Visit Golden Triangle with Ranthambore Tour
October to April is generally considered the best time to enjoy this tour. The weather across Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur is pleasant for sightseeing, while Ranthambore National Park is fully operational, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife safaris.
November and February are particularly popular, with comfortable daytime temperatures and enjoyable safari conditions. Early morning safaris can be quite chilly, so carrying warm layers is recommended.
December and January are the coolest months in North India and can experience morning fog, particularly around Delhi and Agra. On some days, fog may reduce visibility at the Taj Mahal and during early morning safaris in Ranthambore. If clear views of the Taj Mahal and the best possible wildlife viewing conditions are your highest priorities, you may prefer to travel outside these months.
March and April bring warmer temperatures, and many wildlife enthusiasts consider this one of the best periods for tiger sightings. As natural water sources begin to shrink, tigers and other wildlife are more frequently seen around waterholes, improving the chances of memorable safari encounters.
The core safari zones of Ranthambore National Park are closed during the monsoon season, generally from 1 July to 30 September. However, some buffer zones may remain open, subject to weather conditions and Forest Department regulations. If you are planning to travel during this period, we can advise on the latest park status, suggest suitable safari options where available, or recommend alternative travel dates.
How the Trip Is Structured
This is a private, point-to-point tour across four destinations, with your own vehicle and driver throughout the journey. There is no group to coordinate with and no fixed departure dates, allowing the tour to run entirely at your preferred pace.
The itinerary follows a logical route. You begin in Delhi before travelling by road to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. From Agra, continue to Ranthambore National Park for a two-night stay, where two shared open jeep safaris are included, with an optional upgrade to private jeep safaris. From Ranthambore, travel to Jaipur for two nights of sightseeing before returning to New Delhi for your onward departure.
Each journey is planned with realistic driving times and comfortable rest stops, ensuring you are never rushed between destinations. We carefully select hotels close to the main sightseeing attractions in each city and, in Ranthambore, close to the safari gates, allowing you to spend less time travelling and more time enjoying your holiday.
Important Information
- If rooms are not available at the mentioned hotels, we will provide alternate hotels of a similar category. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability.
- The Taj Mahal remains closed every Friday. During the winter months, from December until the second week of February, heavy fog may reduce visibility, particularly during sunrise and sunset. To ensure the best experience, visits to the Taj Mahal are arranged during the daytime when required.
- During the winter months of December and January, Ranthambore often experiences dense morning fog that may reduce visibility during safari drives, making wildlife sightings, including tigers, more challenging. If tiger sightings are a priority, you may wish to consider travelling outside these months.
- Safari access to specific zones is subject to availability. To secure your preferred safari bookings in your desired zones, we recommend booking your tours at least 90 days in advance. To book your safari, we require a clear photo of the traveler's passport, as mandated by the forest department.
- Once safaris are confirmed, the safari fees are non-refundable. Please carry your original valid passport or ID proof to present at the entry gate for safaris.
- Ranthambore National Park is closed for safaris every Wednesday for zones 1 to 5, and every Tuesday for zones 6 to 10. Ranthambore National Park also remains closed during the monsoon season, from July to September every year.
- Mobile phones are not allowed inside the National Parks during safaris.
- For easy communication on the go, consider downloading WhatsApp, as it is widely used in India.
- Transportation is provided according to the itinerary only and is not available on a disposal or point-to-point basis.
- Tipping in India is not compulsory, it is optional but appreciated. A small gratuity is expected in some cases; tip generously for exceptional service. The amount can range from $2, $5, $10 per day, or more, depending on satisfaction and the quality of service received.
- Any costs arising from natural calamities such as landslides, road blockages, political disturbances (e.g., strikes), etc., are to be borne by the client. We will not be held liable for any refunds or compensation claims resulting from these circumstances.
- India VISA: Citizens of Nepal and Bhutan do not need a visa to enter India. However, all other foreign nationals must obtain a visa to enter India. For more information, please check https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.
