Today, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Delhi, a city with a rich history dating back to the 6th century BC. Begin your tour at Rajghat, the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. Next, visit Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Experience the vibrant atmosphere with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's busiest market. Drive past the Presidential House and India Gate in Edwin Lutyen's Delhi. Visit Humayun's Tomb, built in 1562 by his wife, Hamida Banu Begum. Conclude your day with a visit to the Qutab Minar, the world's tallest brick minaret, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak. Upon arrival at Kochi Airport, you'll be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. After settling in and relaxing, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Kochi. Explore the historic Fort Kochi, stroll along Marine Drive, and visit notable landmarks such as St. Francis Church, the Dutch Palace, and Santa Cruz Basilica. After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive to Thekkady, home to the renowned Periyar National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your resort and take some time to relax and unwind. Later, set out for a visit to Periyar National Park, also known as Periyar Tiger Reserve. Nestled in the lush, mountainous Western Ghats of Kerala, this sanctuary is celebrated for its rich biodiversity, scenic beauty, and unique geomorphology. After breakfast at the resort, depart for Alappuzha (or Alleppey), renowned for its scenic houseboat cruises through the tranquil Kerala backwaters. Upon arrival, check in to your traditionally decorated houseboat by 1:00 PM. Embark on an enchanting overnight cruise, beginning with a delicious lunch on board. As you glide along the serene canals and lagoons, enjoy views of Chinese fishing nets, lush paddy fields, and local residents engaged in traditional crafts like coir making. Admire rustic homes, ancient temples, and swaying coconut groves that line the waterways. In the evening, you have free time to explore the local market of Alappuzha or simply relax on the houseboat. After breakfast on the houseboat, you'll be transferred to Cochin Airport by an Alkof Holidays representative. From there, board your flight to return home or continue to your next destination.
