After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for sightseeing covering Goa’s most popular churches, renowned for their magnificent architecture and historical significance. After breakfast at your hotel, embark on a scenic drive to the Gadag district in Karnataka. The journey takes you through charming countryside landscapes, dotted with traditional villages and farmlands that offer a glimpse into rural life in the region. Upon arrival in Gadag, check in to your hotel and relax after the drive. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Gadag.
After breakfast, begin exploring Gadag’s rich Chalukyan heritage. Visit the Trikuteshwara Temple, admired for its distinctive three-shrine structure and fine stone carvings. Continue to the Veera Narayana Temple, known for its elegant architecture. Later, drive to Dambal to explore the Doddabasappa Temple, a 12th-century star-shaped architectural masterpiece. After completing Gadag sightseeing, proceed to Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary. On arrival, check in at your nature lodge. Dinner and overnight stay near Daroji.
Begin early with a morning hide watch at Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary, offering an excellent opportunity to observe sloth bears and other wildlife at waterholes in a quiet, natural setting. After breakfast, drive to Hampi. Upon arrival, start sightseeing with Virupaksha Temple, followed by a walk through Hampi Bazaar, once a thriving marketplace of the Vijayanagara Empire. Continue to the temple clusters around Hemakuta Hill, and enjoy short photo stops at Sri Kotilinga Temple and Pushkarni (Krishna Bazaar). Check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Hampi.
After breakfast, explore Hampi’s grand royal and ceremonial structures. Visit the Vittala Temple with the iconic Stone Chariot, followed by the Royal Enclosure, including the impressive Mahanavami Dibba and the beautifully designed Stepped Tank. Continue to Hazara Rama Temple, famous for its Ramayana reliefs, and later explore the Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, and Guard’s Quarters. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk along the Tungabhadra River. Overnight stay in Hampi.
Today focuses on Hampi’s quieter corners and panoramic viewpoints. Visit the magnificent Achyutaraya Temple and walk along the historic Courtesan’s Street. Later, explore Queen’s Bath and ascend Matanga Hill for sweeping panoramic views of Hampi’s ruins and river landscape. If time permits, visit Anegundi, including Huchhappayya Mantapa and Anegundi Fort, followed by a short coracle ride across the river (subject to river conditions). Return to your hotel. After breakfast, drive towards Badami, stopping en route at Itagi to visit the renowned Mahadeva Temple, considered one of the finest examples of Western Chalukyan architecture. Continue to Lakkundi, famous for its ancient temples, Jain monuments, and beautifully preserved stepwells showcasing exceptional stone craftsmanship. After sightseeing, proceed to Badami. Check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Badami.
After breakfast, begin sightseeing in Badami, visiting the spectacular Badami Cave Temples, carved into red sandstone cliffs overlooking Agastya Lake. Explore the Bhutanatha Temples along the lake and, if time permits, visit the Archaeological Museum. Later, proceed to Aihole, the cradle of Indian temple architecture, visiting Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple, and Ravana Phadi Cave Temple. Continue to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the Virupaksha Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, and Papanatha Temple. Return to Badami for overnight stay.
