Itinerary
Get ready to experience the winter season in Ladakh, it's freezing as you touch down at 11,500 ft above sea level. Our representative will welcome you at Leh, and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude of Ladakh. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Post breakfast, head-out to explore the Spituk Monastery and find yourself transported to another world altogether in this amazing 11th Century centre of religion, art, culture and mystique. After that visit the white-domed Shanti Stupa that sits pretty on a hilltop. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Start the day with a luscious breakfast, before bracing yourself for some adventure. Start for a day trip to chilling the Chadar trek, a winter trail over the frozen Zanskar River. It is traditionally the only means of travel in the area during the harsh winters. After that visit Ladakh's oldest monastery in Alchi where you will enjoy a traditional Ladakhi lunch. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Make an early start for the day with a cup of tea or coffee, before heading toward the Thiksey Monastery built in 1430 AD. At Thiksey Monastery, join the mystical Morning Prayers session, be mesmerised by the sound of hundreds of young and old lamas chanting together to the amazing sound of their singing bowls. Later, visit a local restaurant for a delicious Ladakhi breakfast. Afterwards visit the Hemis Gompa of Drukpa Lineage, the monastery was re-established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
It's time to say farewell to Ladakh. Leave on time for Leh airport for onward journey.

Payment Terms
A deposit of 10% is required to confirm this tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 60 days prior tour starting date. For any bookings within 60 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.
Cancellation
No additional cancellation fees apply for this tour. You can cancel the tour prior tour starting date and avoid paying the full amount, but the deposit you have paid is non-refundable. No refund applies for cancellations within of tour starting date.

It is the sole responsibility of each individual traveller to get the required visa(s) for this tour, as visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. We recommend to check with the Embassy of India in your home country.

Although tipping in India is not compulsory, doing so is a nice gesture. In some circumstances, a small tip is expected. The rules of etiquette for gratuity in India are a little muddled as a colonial past, tourism, and cultural influences clash. We do recommend tipping at various instances, but tip higher only when you are very happy with the service.
