After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, set out to discover the fascinating Kahandagiri and Udaigiri Jain caves. These ancient rock-cut caves are significant for their archaeological, historical, and religious value, showcasing the rich heritage of Jainism and Buddhism in Orissa. Next, immerse yourself in the architectural splendor of Bhubaneswar's temples. Visit the Lingraj Temple, a grand example of Kalinga architecture and a major pilgrimage site. Continue to the Raja Rani Temple, renowned for its exquisite carvings and intricate sculptures, and then explore the Mukteswar Temple, often referred to as the “Gem of Orissan Architecture” due to its intricate designs and serene ambiance. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel in Bhubaneswar for a restful overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Puri. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax and unwind. Later in the day, visit the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning 13th-century architecture, attributed to King Narasimhadeva I of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty. The temple, designed as a grand chariot of the Sun God, is a masterpiece of Kalinga architecture. Following your visit to the Sun Temple, explore the A.S.I. Museum to gain insights into the region’s rich history and artifacts. Conclude your day with a leisurely stroll along Chandrabhaga Beach, known for its serene beauty and picturesque views. Return to your hotel in Puri for an overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Shree Jagannath Temple, an important Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a form of Lord Vishnu. Originally established by King Indradyumna and later rebuilt in the 10th century by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva of the Eastern Ganga dynasty, this temple is renowned for its grand annual Ratha Yatra, where the deities are paraded on massive, ornate chariots.
Following your visit to the temple, travel to Chilika Lake, the second-largest lagoon in the world and a prime location for spotting Irrawaddy dolphins. Enjoy a scenic boat ride to Rajhans Island, a stunning island at the confluence of Chilika Lake and the Bay of Bengal. The island, surrounded by lush forests and mountains, features a pristine sandy beach and serves as a sanctuary for diverse wildlife, including birds, dolphins, crabs and other marine life. Relax on the beach, partake in activities such as a cruise or dolphin watching, or simply enjoy the natural beauty. In the evening, our representative will transfer you back to your hotel in Puri for an overnight stay.
