The best time to visit Ayodhya is between October and March. During this period, the weather is cool and comfortable, making it ideal for sightseeing and exploring the city’s spiritual and historical landmarks. Ayodhya experiences several festivals during these months, including Diwali and Ram Navami (typically in March or April), when the city is particularly lively and vibrant, offering a memorable cultural experience. It’s best to avoid visiting Ayodhya during the summer months of April to June, as temperatures can soar above 40°C (104°F), making it uncomfortable for outdoor activities. Monsoon season (July to September) also sees heavy rainfall, which can disrupt travel plans and cause humidity, making it less enjoyable to explore the city.
Varanasi offers some of India’s most authentic cultural experiences. Witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony on the banks of the River Ganges, watch centuries-old rituals unfold along the ghats, explore narrow lanes filled with temples and traditional shops, and see skilled artisans weaving famous Banarasi silk. You can also enjoy a peaceful sunrise boat ride on the Ganges, providing a deeper glimpse into the city’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
