Upon arrival at Leh Airport, our driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Take some time to rest and acclimatize to Leh’s altitude and climate. In the afternoon, visit the breathtaking Shanti Stupa, a striking white-domed structure perched on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of the city.
Later in the evening, attend the Welcome Function of Leh Sindhu Darshan at Sindhu Bhawan, Leh, starting at 5:00 PM. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Leh.
After a hearty breakfast, head to Sindhu Ghat to experience the vibrant Sindhu Darshan Festival, celebrating the cultural diversity and unity of India along the sacred Sindhu River. Immerse yourself in the lively festivities and spiritual atmosphere throughout the day. In the evening, return to Leh for a relaxing dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, head out to explore the beautiful Sham Valley. This place offers a touching tribute to soldiers who lost their lives in the Indo-Pak wars, built by the Indian Army. Next, visit the Kali Mata Mandir, followed by the historic Spituk Gompa, a stunning 11th-century Buddhist monastery. Continue to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, built in honor of Guru Nanak Dev's visit in 1517. Experience the fascinating Magnetic Hill, where the road seems to defy gravity, and enjoy the scenic drive to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Early in the morning, take your packed breakfast from the hotel and set off for Pangong TSO Lake, the world's highest saltwater lake at an elevation of 4,350 meters. The lake's brilliant blue waters contrast sharply with the surrounding arid mountains. Stretching over 160 kilometers, one-third of Pangong Lake lies in India, with the other two-thirds in China. On the way, visit Shey Palace, the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Next, explore Thiksey Monastery, perched on a hill and offering breathtaking views of the Indus Valley. Continue your journey to Changla Pass, at 5,486 meters, famous for quick photo ops. Then, drive down to the village of Tangtse for a relaxing tea break. Finally, proceed to Pangong TSO Lake. Upon arrival, check in at your camp. If time allows, take a stroll by the lake. Overnight stay at the camp.
After breakfast at the camp, spend the morning exploring the beautiful Pangong Lake and its surroundings. In the afternoon, drive back to Leh. On the way, visit Hemis Gompa, located 45 km from Leh. This monastery was re-established in 1672 by King Sengge Namgyal and hosts the annual Hemis festival in early June to honor Padmasambhava. Upon arrival in Leh, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the local market for some shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.
It's time to bid farewell to Ladakh. Depart for Leh Airport in time for your onward journey.

A full rest day in Leh on arrival is built into every Alkof Holidays Ladakh itinerary before any sightseeing or travel to higher areas begins. Light activity, no alcohol, and adequate hydration during the first 24 significantly reduce the risk. Travelers with pre-existing heart or respiratory conditions should consult a doctor before booking.
Foreign nationals require an Permit to visit several areas including Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri, Hanle, and Turtuk. At Alkof Holidays, we provide Ladakh tours with all required permits including Ladakh Environment Fee, Wild life charges, Red Cross Fee, and Inner line permit.

- Our Role & Responsibility: The Sindhu Darshan Festival is organized and managed by Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti (Regd.), New Delhi. Alkof Holidays is neither a part of Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti, nor a vendor or associate of the Samiti. Alkof Holidays serves solely as an experienced tour operator in Ladakh, facilitating your journey to Sindhu Ghat, where you can participate in the celebrations organized and managed by Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti (Regd.).
- If rooms are not available at the mentioned hotels, alternate hotels of a similar category will be provided. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability.
- Air conditioning is not typically required at hill stations due to low temperatures. However, if requested, an additional charge will apply (Rs 7 per km for SUVs and Rs 10 per km for Tempo Travelers), payable directly to the driver.
- Only postpaid SIM cards from BSNL, Airtel, and Jio work in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Prepaid SIM cards from other parts of India do not work; you can purchase one locally in Srinagar or Ladakh.
- Electricity in areas like Nubra, Pangong, Sarchu, Jispa, Keylong, and Tsomoriri is limited to generator power, available only between 7 PM and 11 PM for charging devices like cameras, mobile phones, and power banks.
- Vegetarian meals are provided exclusively at Nubra, Pangong, Sarchu, Jispa, Keylong, and Tsomoriri.
- To avoid high-altitude sickness, Diamox tablets can be taken before arriving in Leh (consult your doctor first). Wear a jacket upon landing in Leh to minimize discomfort.
- Transportation is provided as per the itinerary and is not available on a disposal or point-to-point basis.
- From October to April, accommodations like camps and guest houses in Ladakh may be closed due to the off-season. Suitable alternatives will be provided, with advance notice during booking.
- Travelers with passports issued by the People's Republic of China are not allowed to visit Ladakh beyond Leh.
- Costs arising from natural calamities, political disturbances, or similar issues are not covered, and refunds or compensation claims cannot be entertained under such circumstances.
- Leh-Ladakh's tourism infrastructure faces water and power scarcity. Hot water may be available only during specific times (morning and evening).
- India VISA: Most travelers need a visa to visit India, except for Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and citizens of select visa-free agreement countries. For more information, please check https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
- Alkof Holidays reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to reasons such as Force Majeure events, strikes, weather conditions, traffic issues, or closures at a destination. Suitable alternatives will be arranged when possible, but no refunds or compensation claims will be entertained for these changes.
Payment Terms
A deposit of 10% is required to confirm this tour, and the remaining balance will be charged 30 days prior tour starting date. For any bookings within 30 days of departure, the full tour amount will be charged upon booking. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash.
