Namaste! On the day of arrival at Mumbai Airport, our local representative will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Visit the iconic Gateway of India overlooking the Arabian Sea, followed by a photo stop at the majestic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Explore the Prince of Wales Museum (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya) to learn about India’s rich heritage. Drive past the UNESCO-listed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and enjoy a scenic drive along Marine Drive, also known as the Queen’s Necklace. Continue to Mani Bhavan, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi, and visit the Hanging Gardens for city views. Return to the hotel in the evening for a relaxing overnight stay.
Early morning, our team will escort you to Mumbai airport for your flight to Goa. Upon arrival, our local driver will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your resort. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore the stunning beaches of North Goa. In the evening, indulge in the delightful cuisine at one of the popular beach shacks. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for sightseeing covering Goa’s most popular churches, renowned for their magnificent architecture and historical significance. Visit Se Cathedral, Basilica of Bom Jesus, Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, and Church of St. Cajetan. Later, enjoy a boat cruise on the Mandovi River and explore Panaji, the capital city of Goa. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Having WhatsApp and an eSIM was very helpful, and any questions we had were answered quickly. Internal flights, boarding passes, and transfers were all clearly organized. Our focus was wildlife, but we were also very happy with the accommodation throughout the trip. We stayed at Kavish Gir Lion Resort and Aranyak Resorts near Kanha and Bandhavgarh. The rooms were spacious, the food was excellent, and the staff were always welcoming. Be prepared for some long road journeys and flights, but they are all part of the adventure. We appreciated arriving at the national park gates early each morning, as the cooler hours provided the best wildlife viewing opportunities. The wildlife sightings exceeded all expectations. At Gir National Park, we saw an incredible 26 Asiatic lions, including cubs, along with jackals, mongoose, wild boar, and many beautiful bird species. At Bandhavgarh, we were fortunate to spot six tigers, as well as Indian gaur, owls, hornbills, eagles, and vultures. One of the most memorable moments was watching a magnificent tiger slowly cross the road directly in front of our safari vehicle. Alkof Holidays and India made this trip truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Alkof Holidays to wildlife lovers and would happily travel with them again. A few tips for future travelers: bring binoculars, a good camera, and some extra tissues or toilet paper. We were also advised that mobile phones are not permitted during safaris in India's national parks, which was not an issue for us as keen photographers.
