After freshening up, head out for a half-day exploration of Kolkata's notable landmarks. Start with the Howrah Bridge, an engineering marvel spanning the Hooghly River. Opened in 1943, this cantilever bridge is a vital transport link and a bustling hub of activity, showcasing the city's vibrant daily life. Next, visit the Victoria Memorial, a stunning white-marble monument dedicated to Queen Victoria. This grand structure, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, houses a museum with exhibits on Kolkata's colonial history and artifacts from the British era. Travel by road to Ferry Ghat/Harwood Point, approximately 90 km from Kolkata. From there, board a ferry to reach Gangasagar Island.
