Upon arrival at Lucknow airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Lucknow. After freshening up, head out to explore the city of Nawabs – Lucknow. Begin your sightseeing with the city’s iconic landmarks – the grand Bara Imambara with its famous Bhool Bhulaiya, the beautiful Chota Imambara, and the historic Rumi Darwaza. Dive into history at The Residency, a relic of the 1857 uprising, and conclude with a visit to Hazratganj Market, where you can enjoy Lucknow’s unique shopping and dining scene. After a fulfilling day, return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Lucknow and will be transferred to Ayodhya, an ancient city of India, is the birthplace of Rama and setting of the great epic Ramayana. Your drive from Lucknow to Ayodhya is about 135 Km taking approximately 2.5 hours. Upon arrival visit the holy Sarayu River, where thousands of pilgrims take a sacred bath. Later visit Shri Ram Janam Bhumi, the birthplace of Lord Rama, believed to be the seventh avatar of the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu.
Later visit other important sites in Ayodhya including Hanuman Garhi Mandir, Kanak Bhawan, Sita Ki Rasoi, Dashrath Mahal, Tulsi Smarak Bhavan, and Ram Katha Sangrahalay. In Ayodhya several religions have grown and prospered simultaneously and also at different periods of time in the past. Remnants of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Islam can still be found in Ayodhya. Post lunch we'll reach Kanchan Bhawan from where you will start the Mokshadayani Heritage Walk to Nageshwar Dham. After the walk, board a boat to enjoy a short ride on the fast flowing river. Later in the evening, attend the Aarti Ceremony (a Hindu religious ritual of worship) on the banks of Saryu River. Later we'll transfer you back to your hotel or airport in Lucknow for onward journey.
Please Note: Due to traffic police restrictions, cars will be parked 1 km away from the Ayodhya Main Temple. Travellers will need to hire rickshaw or tuktuk to reach the temple and other sites. The cost of the local rickshaw or tuktuk ride is to be borne by the travellers.
After breakfast at the hotel, our driver will transfer you to Lucknow airport to board a flight to home or onward destination.
