Sindhu Darshan Festival is a 3-day festival held every year on Guru Purnima (full moon day) in the month of June. It is held at Leh, in Ladakh District of Jammu & Kashmir. The Sindhu Darshan Festival one of the most colourful and attractive fiestas held in North India. considered to be the symbol of communal harmony and unity of India. Every Year Sindhu Darshan Festival is celebrated on the banks of river Sindhu, where an ancient Sindhu Valley Civilization originated, a holy place where Lord Jhulelal reincarnated, where the Vedas were created/written, a place which also became the centre of ancient Buddhist Monasteries. After breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Leh, visit Shankar Gompa, nestled on a valley floor, Shankar Gompa is the home to the Dalai Lama, Lamas who belong to yellow sect and worship his holiness. Later, visit Shanti Stupa - a Buddhist religious monument built by Indian based Japanese Monk whose purpose was to spread Buddhism by building such Stupas across the globe. Also visit the Leh Palace - built in the 17th Century. Further go for Sindhu Darshan at Choglamsar. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit Shey - the summer palace of Ladakhi Kings. It is the place where you can see the 36 ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold. After that visit Thiksey - the twelve storied monastery located on an island Mountain. Later visit Hemis, located far away from Leh, it is the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh and belongs to the Red Sect. Here each summer the plays are held and Ladakhis from across the country visit the monastery. After sightseeing, drive back to the hotel for night stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, Alkof Holidays representative will transfer to the Leh airport to board the flight to your home or onward destination.

Many of our travelers join because they are traveling solo. So yes it is absolutely safe to travel solo on this tour. As a solo traveler, you have to pay single supplement charges. Please let us know at the time of booking and we’ll arrange the rooming configuration accordingly.
Our tour cost includes personal assistance during arrival and departure, hotel accommodations with breakfast, all transfers, sightseeing and excursions by private air-conditioned car/van/coach depending on a number of persons with as per itinerary, this tour also includes all applicable taxes and a dedicated tour manager with 24x7 support. We can also include lunch and dinner, domestic flights, and other services on request at an additional cost.
The normal check-in and check-out timings in a majority of the hotels are 1400 hours and the 1200 hours respectively. Early check-in's and late check-out's are subject to availability of the rooms, thus we suggest you to book your room(s) previous night itself if you arriving early then the normal check-in time or if you have a late check-out. Just let us know your arrival and departure timing at the time of booking your tour with us and we will help you in managing your stay for the extra hours.
We provide 3 star comfort hotels in our standard tour packages. However you can always upgrade your accommodations to 4 star hotels or 5 star luxury hotels or charming boutique hotels/heritage palaces or any special hotel of your choice at an additional cost.

One must possess a passport which is valid for minimum 6 months from the date of entry into India. Many countries have been included in the list of countries whose citizens are provided E-Visa facility provided they apply 72 hours in advance. Other nationals need to obtain Indian visa in advance to enter India.
You will be greeted by our representative at the airport on your arrival. He shall be holding a company placard with your name written on it for your identification. We shall also provide you list of emergency 24 hours contact numbers for any emergency.
We provide dedicated tour managers to all our guest with 24 X 7 personal assistance. Our office is open 24 hours a day which means that you will always have someone to assist you even at any point of time. 20 - 30 days before the date of departure: 50% of the total cost
10 - 19 days before the date of departure: 100% of the total cost
Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received 10 days prior to departure date and received amount will be fully forfeited.
If you cancel your holiday:
You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges per person applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below:
Between 30 - 45 days before the date of departure: 25% of the total cost
Between 11 - 29 days before the date of departure: 50% of the total cost
Up-to 10 days before the date of departure: 100% of the total cost
