After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a full day guided tour of Jaipur. Start you sightseeing with the iconic attraction of Rajasthan “Amber Fort and Palace”, A UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by Raja Man Singh in 1592 in red sandstone and marble. The magnificent fort comprises an extensive palace complex, divided into several sections. It stands on top of an easily scalable mountain, which is situated right next to the beautiful Maota Lake. The fort’s majestic appearance and its geographical advantages make it a special place to visit. After Amber Fort, visit City Palace, The Hawa Mahal (palace of winds), Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal (Water Palace) and enjoy evening sunset at Surya Mandir, if time permits you can visit some other interesting places as well. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Samode. On arrival at Samode, check–in at Samode Palace, this 19th century palace has finest inlays of mirror–work, glass, and frescoes, particularly Durbar Hall, Sheesh Mahal, and Rangmahal. After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Chittorgarh. Upon arrival at Chittorgarh, check–in to your hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel, later visit Chittorgarh Fort - The hilltop fortress of Chittorgarh epitomizes the whole romantic ideal of Rajput chivalry. The fort was sacked 3 times from 1303 to 1568 by a stronger enemy and on each occasion, the end was "Jauhar". The men donned the saffron robes of martyrdom and rode out from the fort to certain death and the women and children immolated themselves on a huge funeral pyre. Inside the Chittorgarh Fort, you will visit Rana Kumbha's Palace, Kumbha Shyam Temple, Victory Tower, Meerabai Temple, Tower of Fame, Padmini's Palace, Chittorgarh Museum, & Jaimal and Patta Palaces. After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Udaipur. Upon arrival at Udaipur. check–in at the hotel. Relax at the hotel, later start your sightseeing tour of Udaipur with a visit to Sahelion-Ki-Bari. Then proceed to visit the Museum of folk art, which has a rich collection of folk dresses, puppets, dolls, masks, ornaments, folk musical instruments and paintings on display. Afterwards visit the City Palace, the biggest palace complex in India, where four generations of Maharajas added mansions and palaces. You also visit the museum of the palace, which includes the beautiful peacock mosaic and miniature wall paintings of Indian mythology. In the evening take a boat ride on the lake Pichola. Founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha, Mehrangarh Fort is perched on a 150 m high hill its sprawl is the most formidable and magnificent fort in Rajasthan. You can still see the battle scars on the second gate of the fort, which was hit by attacking the armies of Jaipur. There are seven gates, which include Jayapol (Victory Gate) built by Maharaja Man Singh to commemorate his victories over Jaipur and Bikaner armies. Also visit Jaswant Thada, the graceful marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Later visit Mandore Garden, Clock Tower and Sardar Market. Next visit Umaid Bhawan Museum, built between 1928 and 1943, it’s the world's largest private residence of royal family. Part of the palace is a luxury hotel, part of it royal quarters, and some of it is dedicated to the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. The best time to visit India is from October till April because in these months the weather remains cool. But, if you are planning for trekking on the Himalayas region then Summer is considered to be a good time. Summer are also considered to be good to visit regions like Leh-ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim etc.
Although tipping in India is not compulsory, doing so is a nice gesture. In some circumstances, a small tip is expected. The rules of etiquette for gratuity in India are a little muddled as a colonial past, tourism, and cultural influences clash. We do recommend tipping at various instances, but tip higher only when you are very happy with the service. Client only requires a deposit of 10% of the total amount of the tour to confirm their booking. The remaining balance is then payable 30 days prior to the departure date. For any tour departing within 30 days the full payment of the tour is necessary. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash. After receiving the payment, a receipt will be sent directly to client's registered email-id and the final tour documentation will be emailed out approximately 1-2 weeks prior to departure.
No additional cancellation fees! You can cancel the tour up to 30 days prior to the departure date and you will not need to pay the full amount of you tour, but the deposit of 10% is non-refundable. But, the deposit is fully transferable to your future bookings with Alkof Holidays.
