Day-to-Day ITINERARY

Stay – Kochi

On the day of arrival at Cochin airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel, later visit Fort Kochi, Marine Drive, St.Francis Church, and Santa Cruz Basilica. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Stay – Kochi

The very first day of Onam festival (the ten days festival) starts with the Athachamayam festival – the celebration of the victory of the Kochi King. After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Thripunithura to witness Athachamayam Festival, a festival which itself has replete all the folk art forms and dance forms of Kerala. The major attraction of the festival is the well-crafted makeup of the artists, which is quite adorable to watch. Post lunch, thrill yourself with a boat race at Champakara village. Later, visit a local Church to enjoy the Flower carpet competition. In the evening, drive back to the hotel in Kochi for overnight stay.

Stay – Munnar

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Munnar. On the way to Munnar, visit Kodanad Elephant Care Centre, Cheeyappara Waterfalls, Valara Waterfalls, Attukal Waterfalls, Spice Plantations etc. Upon arrival at Munnar, check–in at your hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Stay – Munnar

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Munnar – the most scenic hill station of South India nestled in tea estates. Kummattikali – the colorful mask dance is the traditional dance done to pamper the Godness where dancers wear a colorful mask and embellish dress. Later in the evening, proceed for an excursion trip to Shornur for Tholpavakoothu Shadow Puppet Show. Tholpavakoothu is a unique folk art form of Kerala that represents stories in front of the viewers. The stories are mostly from the Hindu mythologies such as Ramayana. Overnight stay at the hotel.

PAYMENT TERMS

  • 30 days or more before the date of departure: 25% of the total cost
  • 29 - 20 days before the date of departure: 50% of the total cost
  • 19 - 16 days before the date of departure: 100% of the total cost

Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received 16 days prior to departure date and received amount will be fully forfeited.

CANCELLATION

If you cancel your holiday:

You or any member of your party may cancel their travel arrangements at any time. Written notification or an e-mail to that effect from the person who made the booking must be received at our office. The cancellation charges per person applicable are as per the published cancellation policy below:


  • 30 days or more before the date of departure: 25% of the total cost
  • 29 - 20 days before the date of departure: 50% of the total cost
  • 19 - 10 days before the date of departure: 100% of the total cost
If we change or cancel your holiday:

We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements.
