After breakfast, proceed for a full day escorted tour of Delhi. Start your sightseeing from New Delhi, visit Rashtrapati Bhavan, India Gate, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple (Bhai’s Temple) and Qutub Minar.
Later in the afternoon, proceed to Old Delhi sightseeing tour, visit Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid and Red Fort also take a short rickshaw ride at the Chandni Chowk (A huge market of spices and clothes). Later in the evening transfer to the New Delhi railway station to board an air-conditioned sleeper train to Gonda. Overnight stay on board.
Upon arrival at Gonda railway station, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to Sravasti - the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, it has the honour for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetavana Gardens. Upon arrival at Sravasti, check in at the hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel and later proceed for an escorted tour of Sravasti, visit Jetavana and Ananda Bodhi Tree. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to the Indo-Nepal border. At Nepal Border, you will be received by Alkof Holidays, Nepal counterpart and he will transfer you to Lumbini - the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lumbini is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival at Lumbini, check-in at the hotel. Relax at the hotel, and In the evening visit the Ashoka Pillar, built in 259BC by Ashoka The Great - the Emperor of India. In the 7th century, the pillar was struck by lightning and split into two parts, the site was lost for six centuries, re-founded in 1895. Also take a walk through the monasteries made by many nationals. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, visit Maya Devi Temple, dedicated to the mother of lord Buddha, Maya Devi. The temple was built during the 2nd century. Later drive to Kushinagar crossing Indo-Nepal border. Upon reaching check-in to the hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel and later proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kushinagar, visit Nirvana Temple and Ramabhar Stupa. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast leave for Patna. On the way, halt at Vaishali for sightseeing. Vaishali is mentioned in the Ramayana and in the Buddhist literature, is reputed as the birthplace of Lord Mahavira and the capital of Lichchavis from early times. In Vaishali, visit Ashoka Pillar, Buddha stupa and Shanti stupa. Later continue drive to Patna for night stay.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and leave for Bodhgaya. On the way to Bodhgaya, visit the "Ruins of Nalanda University in Nalanda". Later proceed towards Rajgir to visit the monastery of Venuvana Vihar built by King Bimbisara for Lord Buddha to reside. After sightseeing at Rajgir, continue drive to Bodhgaya. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for an escorted tour of Bodhgaya and Gaya, visit The Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River, Sujata Temple and lots of other significant temples. The Mahabodhi temple is built on the east of the sacred tree stands majestically 17 feet high on a base 5 feet square, and consists of a soaring pyramidal tower surmounted by a stupa. The Vajrasana or Diamond Throne lying between the Bodhi Tree and the temple marks the actual spot where Buddha sat in meditation and attained supreme knowledge. Visit several Buddhist temples built by the followers of Buddhism from all over the world. After finishing your sightseeing at Bodhgaya leave for Varanasi. Upon arrival at Varanasi, check-in at the hotel for night stay.
Early in the morning, enjoy a boat cruise at river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later leave for Sarnath. Sarnath enjoys the extraordinary privilege of Lord Buddha delivering his first sermon after attaining enlightenment 2500 years ago. At Sarnath, visit a number of Buddhist sites that include the famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy 'Buddha' and the ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandhakuti Temple. Also, visit the most popular "The Ashoka Pillar" built by the emperor Ashoka. The Lion Capital on top of this pillar is now the National Emblem of India and stands apart for its excellent artistry and carvings. In the evening, attend aarti on the bank of river Ganges in Varanasi. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Kanpur. On the way halt at Allahabad for sightseeing, have a sacred bath in Triveni Sangam, visit Ananda Bhawan (Except Monday) and Hanuman Temple, later continue your drive towards Kanpur. Upon arrival at Kanpur, check-in to your hotel for night stay.
Early in the morning, leave for Agra. On the way, visit Kannauj and Sankisa. The town of Kannauj is mentioned in the book of Mahabharata. Ruled over by Hindu king Harsha Vardhana, this city had seen the golden period of Hindu architecture. Later visit Sankisa - which is related to many Myths pertaining to Lord Buddha, especially his descending from the heaven after death, makes it an ideal destination for Buddhist pilgrim. The village is mainly famous for the archaeological and historical importance. Also visit, temple of Bisari Devi, Buddhist Sculptures dating back to Mahayana age, the remains of Ashokan Pillar with an elephant in lieu of the usual lion. In the evening, arrive at Agra and check into the hotel for night stay.
Early morning before sunrise visit the world’s most popular and beautiful monument Taj Mahal along with Mehtab Bagh. After finishing your guided tour to Taj Mahal, return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, visit Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, Akbar's Tomb.
Later in the afternoon, our representative will transfer you to Delhi at your place or to the New Delhi airport to board the flight to your home or onward destination.
