Start in Kolkata and end in New Delhi! The 16 days tour is suitable for nature lovers, hill stations explorers and for the traveller's lookings for city breaks or romantic getaways. In this tour, you will explore 7 romantic destinations and cultural hubs of India and Bhutan, i.e - Kolkata, Kaziranga National Park, Darjeeling, Phuntsholing, Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro. The tour includes 15 nights accommodation, sightseeing, all transfers and 15 breakfasts at the hotel.
On the day of arrival at Kolkata airport, Alkof Holidays representative will assist you at airport and later transfer to your hotel for night stay. Relax at hotel or day free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the sightseeing of Kolkata, visit the Birla Planetarium, Victoria Memorial, and the Howrah Bridge. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Fly to Guwahati and transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Set along the southern bank of the Brahmaputra River, Kaziranga was declared a wildlife reserve in 1926, in order to save the greater one-horned rhino. Upon arrival check-in at the wildlife resort, rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the resort.
Early in the morning, get ready to enjoy an elephant safari in the western range of the national park. The main attraction of this wildlife park, includes One-horned Rhinoceros, tiger, wild buffalo, elephant, a variety of deer, python, and variety of migratory birds among others. Also spend some quality time at the Donga view point, situated in western zone. After Elephant Safari, drive back to the hotel for refreshment. In the afternoon, we will go for a jeep safari in the national park for wildlife viewing in the central zone. Overnight stay at the resort.
Early morning we will transfer you to the airport in Guwahati to board the flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival at Bagdogra airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you aand transfer you to the hotel in Darjeeling. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Take an early morning visit to Tiger Hill and witness the sunrise over the mighty peaks of Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga. In the afternoon board the historic toy train to Ghoom and enjoy a half-day city tour of this sparkling hill resort. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Spend the day learning all about tea, visiting tea plantations and enjoying a tea tasting. In Darjeeling, tea is still produced by the 'orthodox' method as opposed to the 'curling, tearing and crushing' method adopted on the plains. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast take a scenic drive to Phuntsholing, the second largest town in Bhutan. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Early in the morning, check–out from the hotel and drive to Thimphu. Upon arrival, check–in to your hotel. Rest and relax at the hotel, later in the day take an exploratory walk getting acquainted with the local environment. Also visit National Memorial Chorten: a monument for world peace and prosperity. The paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy. Overnight at stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
After leisurely breakfast at hotel proceed to a guided tour of Thimphu. Proceed to visit National Library (sat sun, govt holiday closed), which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts, some dating back several hundred years, as well as modern academic books mainly on Himalayan culture and religion.
Thereafter, visit nearby Institute for Zorig Chusum (Sat afternoon, Sun & Govt holiday closed). Commonly known as Arts & Crafts School or Painting School, the Institute offers a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. On a visit, one can see students learning the various skills taught at the school. Drive towards city centre to visit Textile (Sat afternoon, Sun & Govt holiday closed) and Folk Heritage Museum: These museums, both of which opened in 2001, provide fascinating insights into Bhutanese material culture and way of life. Conclude sightseeing with a visit of Trashichhodzong: This impressive fortress/monastery houses Secretariat building, the throne room of His Majesty, the King and various government offices. It is also the summer residence of Chief Abbot and central monk body. Overnight at stay at the hotel in Thimphu.
After breakfast, drive across the stunning Dochu La Pass to Punakha. En route enjoy a short walk to Khamsum Yueling Temple which provides an idyllic spot for a picnic lunch. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha.
Visit the beautiful Punakha Dzong, the largest in the country. Later take a short excursion to Chimi Lhakhang also known as 'Fertility Temple' as those who pray at this temple are said to be blessed with a child shortly after. Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha.
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Paro, a valley encapsulates a rich culture, scenic beauty and hundreds of myths and legends. It is home to many of Bhutan's oldest temples and monasteries. Stay for 3 nights at the Naksel Boutique & Spa and experience a local hot stone bath. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, hike to Taktsang Monastery or Tiger Nest. The temple is built in the sacred rock, which was believed to have been blessed by Guru Rinpoche in the 8th century. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche flew to this site on a tigress’ back to subdue a local demon. Thereafter, he meditated here for three months. Visiting Tiger’s Nest temple will be rewarded with a breathtaking view and ones in a lifetime memory. It takes almost 2 hours to walk up at an average pace. Although the main building of the temple was destroyed by fire on April 1998, it rebuilt to former glory in 2001. The hike up to the viewpoint is worthwhile and fulfilling. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. Also visit Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang, and Drugyel Dzong. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, take a flight to Delhi from Paro airport. Upon arrival, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Delhi. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, Alkof Holidays representative will transfer you to the IGI Airport in New Delhi to board the flight to your home or onward destination.

If you are interested in booking any of our brochure tours, you may simply send us an email giving us your details. We normally need an advance amount once we confirm the arrangements for the tour. The amount depends on the services you may require for the tour. This can be paid through bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cash. We need balance payment before arrival or as per below schedule.
Important: The booking stands liable to be cancelled if 100% payment is not received 16 days prior to departure date and received amount will be fully forfeited.
